Nordstrom Rack Project Breaks Ground At Popular MA Shopping Center

It'll be the latest addition to the roster at the open-air shopping destination. Here's what to know.

PLYMOUTH, MA — A new clothing retailer is on the way for Plymouth after a groundbreaking this week.

The owner-operator of the property, DLC, hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking recently for a new 27,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack at Colony Place.

Located between Aldi and La-Z-Boy within Colony Place, the new Nordstrom Rack will occupy a previously undeveloped parcel at the 1-million-square-foot open-air shopping destination.

The site represents DLC’s second collaboration with Nordstrom Rack, following prior leasing partnerships across its national portfolio.

“This groundbreaking is an exciting milestone for DLC and a defining example of how our platform adds value,” said Adam Ifshin, Founder and CEO of DLC. “It’s our first ground-up development in the Plymouth-Boston market and our first ground-up development with Nordstrom Rack. This is not just a build out for our tenant; we are building a showcase for our integrated approach."

Since acquiring Colony Place in May 2024, DLC has executed a targeted repositioning strategy, filling the center’s largest vacancies with Boot Barn and Gap Factory and now launching new construction on previously undeveloped land — further enhancing the merchandising mix and overall traffic draw, officials said.

Nordstrom Rack will join a retail roster at Colony Place of Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ulta, J.Crew, Talbots and DSW in addition to the two stores mentioned above.
