At long last, bye bye Bert's (plymouthindependent.org) — Demolition has finally begun on Bert’s, the long-abandoned restaurant at the entrance to Plymouth Beach that neighbors have called an eyesore and safety hazard for years. After months of permitting delays, crews are tearing down the storm-battered building, clearing the way for a future elevated project that’s still in early planning stages with the town.
   

2. Former Old Colony Voc-Tech teacher convicted by jury of raping student (southcoasttoday.com) — A former Old Colony Voc-Tech teacher has been convicted in Plymouth County Superior Court of multiple sex offenses against a student and is awaiting sentencing while held by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office.
