Plymouth Water Division to Flush Hydrants in Cedarville

Customers in the Cedarville pressure zone will experience a drop in water pressure and possible water discoloration the week of Oct. 7.

The Plymouth Department of Public Works Water Division will be flushing hydrants in the Cedarville pressure zone the week of Oct. 7. The flushing will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and will take six days.

The residents south of house number 1650 State Road to the Bourne town line and all the side streets will be affected this week. The hydrant bonnets and caps in this zone are painted blue.

While hydrants are flowing, residents will experience a severe drop in pressure.

Customers are advised to hold off on laundry if they notice water discoloration. The DPW recommends running cold water from the faucet nearest the water meter after crews leave the area to clear up discolored water.
