Taking the Plunge: Barbara's Angels
Jordan Hospital Cancer Center's annual Polar Plunge takes place this Saturday, March 2, at Plymouth Beach. Today, Debbie Cadorette of Barbara's Angels shares her reasons for plunging.
By Debbie Cadorette
This is our 2nd year plunging, last year we plunged for my mother, Barbara, who was battling breast cancer, it was a lot of fun. The generosity of people around us was overwhelming, knowing what my mother went through spending countless hours and (days for that matter )at Jordan Hospital cancer center was heartwrenching.
Watching Mom enter those doors with such courage and strength opting never to give up, she fought til the end, unfortunately she lost her courageous battle on Nov. 20, 2012. So this year we plunge in her memory and we do it with such gratitude and with just as much courage as she had to fight for her life. We are grateful for all the efforts and support that was given by the Jordan Hospital and this is our way of saying "Thank You!"
