UMass Student Found Dead In Pond
Authorities said Jacob Johnson, of East Bridgewater, was found dead in Puffer's Pond in Amherst. He was a student at UMass-Amherst.
AMHERST, MA — A student at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst was found dead in a pond, authorities announced Monday. Jacob Johnson, 21, was recovered from Puffer's Pond. He was submerged for "several hours," according to Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan. Foul play was ruled out, according to Sullivan.
Johnson was a journalism student and worked at The Boston Globe.
