Woman Killed In Taunton Vehicle Crash, 3 People Injured

TAUNTON, MA — A Lakeville woman was killed in a vehicle crash in Taunton Friday night. Nicole Dondero, 21, who was a passenger, died after a two-vehicle accident on Route 140 in Taunton. An Acushnet man and two Plymouth residents were also injured.

State Police say the accident occurred around 9:15 p.m., when a 33-year-old Plymouth woman was driving north on Route 140. The GMC Envoy she was driving then collided with a Chrysler 200, which was turning left from Route 140 South, across the northbound lanes, to get onto the ramp of Route 24 North.

A 22-year-old Acushnet man, who was driving the Chrysler, suffered serious injuries, and his passenger, Dondero, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the GMC and her passenger, a 22-year-old Plymouth man, suffered minor injuries.

All who were injured were taken to Morton Hospital in Taunton.

State Police say they are still investigating the accident, and no charges are being filed at this time.
