Did you guess correctly?

Did you guess that the building in Tuesday's photo was the Gowing House? 

The Sergeant George Flint House was part of the Gowing House, which was built around 1820 and destroyed in a fire in 1994. A small addition was untouched by the fire, except for the roof. The addition was believed to be the Sergeant George Flint House, which was built around 1680.

The North Reading Minit & Militia volunteered to restore the Sergeant George Flint House. The estimated cost for materials was around $48,930, all the labor was donated. They raised the funds and got to work. Their goal was to reassemble the 16' x 18' building, making it look as similar to the original as possible. The house is now located on the north side of the Putnam House property.
