COVID Surge Temporarily Closes Reading's Pleasant Street Center

The center will be closed for two weeks, but the van will continue to run for shopping and medical appointments.

READING, MA — Reading has temporarily closed the Pleasant Street Center due to the latest COVID-19 surge.

The center will be closed through Friday, Jan. 21, according to a statement on the town's website. The van will continue to operate for shopping and medical appointments during this time.

Anyone who needs assistance is urged to call center staff at 781-942-6794.

The center offered the following guidelines for staying healthy:

  • Wear a quality N95, KN95, KF94 or surgical mask when out in public
  • Socially distance when in public spaces
  • If you do not feel well, please stay home
  • Sanitize your hands on a regular basis after being in public
