In 2011 PMC Reading Kids Ride attracted 142 Kids and raised over $11,000 for Dana Farber Cancer Institute, all while having a fun activity filled day with friends and family!
In our 2nd year we hope to attract 200 children, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, to ride continuous loops beginning at the Wood End Elementary School (heading Roma Lane and continuing right on Sanborn Lane, Left on Lilah Lane, Thomas Lane and Sanborn Lane) as many times as they wish in the allotted time. The ride will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We will have adult riders and supervisors present on all routes. There will also be a route for "tykes on trikes" set up on the Wood End School from 10:00am to approximately 11:00am. There will be music, activities, and refreshments following the ride.

The PMC Reading Kids Ride was started by The Swanson Family of Reading in honor of Brian Swanson and all of those we love and our community members love that have battled cancer. This idea for this ride was from our 8 Year old Son David who is a 3rd grader at Birch Meadow Elementary School in Reading.
Riders who turn in their $15 registration fee and raise an additional $25 will receive a PMC Kids t-shirt.
- Ages pre-K to 8th grade
