Family Vacations With Parks and Recreation

The following was submitted by the Parks and Recreation Department:

Parks and Recreation and Collette Tours are now offering new family vacations! Discounts of $100/per person are being offered for early bookings. Some of these dates are right around the corner so we are opening registration for these trips prior to our winter brochure release on Jan. 19. 

Exciting new Family Trip to Costa Rica Jul. 21 to 28 will be offered through the Parks and Recreation Department and Collette Tours. This trip offers visits to Tortuguero National Park, Green Turtle Research Station, Sarapiqui, Pineapple Plantation, Rafting, Cacao Plantation, Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs, Hanging Bridges or Zip Line!

Learn to cook Costa Rican specialties, swim in volcanic hot springs or the Arenal Volcano. This eight day trip includes 15 meals. Receive an early booking discount of $100/per person if you book before Jan. 21.

Another trip being offered is the Wild West and Yellowstone Family Trip, Aug. 4 to 11. The early booking deadline is Feb. 4. This family adventure features Salt Lake City, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Old Faithful.  

This trip will allow your family to experience white water rafting on the Snake River, attend a rodeo, witness an old fashioned "shoot out", enjoy a wagon train experience, ferry across Jenny Lake and hike to Inspiration Point in the Grand Tetons. Visit the Teton Raptor Center, Blackfoot-Idaho Potato Museum, learn what it was like to to travel the Oregon Trail, visit the Pocatello Zoo and perhaps learn a couple country western dances before you leave! This seven day trip includes 10 meals.
