Improv Show, Drop-In Chess and Duck Boat Rally This Weekend

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Reading, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

The weekend is here and there are plenty of things to do in Reading and the surrounding area in the upcoming days.

Improv Show: The Reading Memorial High School improv comedy troupe holds its winter show "Improvosaurus" on Friday at 7 p.m. at the school's Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased for $5, and organizers promise an "enormous amount of laughter."

Chess: Reading Public Library has drop-in chess hours scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. Whether you're just learning to play or are an experienced player in need of a partner, you can come down to play at one of the library's tables.

Duck Boats: Celebrate the Pop Warner cheerleading and football national championship victories with a duckboat rolling rally and parade on Saturday starting at 2:15 p.m. Click here for a complete schedule of the day's events.
