Items Stolen from North Reading Walgreens

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Monday, April 2

  • At 9:01 a.m., a caller reported that a Caterpillar backhoe was taken from a construction site on Haverhill Street.
  • At 11:00 a.m., a manager from reported a theft. Items were stolen from the store along with the fragrance keys. A 40-year-old Nahant resident was summonsed for larceny over $250 and larceny under $250.
  • At 11:20 a.m., a caller reported that a home safe was dumped on the side of the road by the bridge on Burroughs Road.
  • At 12:37 p.m., an Oscars Way resident reported that his mailbox was damaged overnight.
  • At 2:19 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle was dragging debris. An elderly female was dragging two traffic cones from a tree detail on the Andover town line.

  • At 9:19 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious person in a dark colored Ford on Southwick Road. Police spoke to the person who had stopped to use his cell phone.
  • At 11:59 a.m., a caller reported a teenage male acting suspiciously near the . The male was gone when police arrived.
  • At 3:24 p.m., a caller reported a minor car accident on Elm Street. No injuries were reported. 
  • At 6:55 p.m., a resident walked into the police station asking for assistance in obtaining information concerning at past break-in on Main Street.
  • At 9:08 p.m., a manager from called to report that an intoxicated customer was trying to leave in a motor vehicle. Police reported to the scene and the customer arranged for transportation.
