Main Street, Reading Apartment Broken Into

The following is an excerpt from the  log from Tuesday through Wednesday. The information is open to the public.

Tuesday, May 22

  • At 5:08 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 6:22 a.m., a caller reported a child wandering in the Lowell Street area unattended. Police searched the area, but did not find the child.
  • At 8:27 a.m., a female reported a bullying incident that happened the day before at .
  • At 8:38 a.m., an officer reported that the found two syringes.
  • At 12:08 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Street. The accident was minor and no injuries were reported.
  • At 2:43 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 5:12 p.m., a Franklin Street resident reported that a BMX bike was stolen out of his garage and a Mongoose bike was left in its place. 
  • At 10:50 p.m., a Bay State Road resident reported harassing phone calls.

  • At 7:57 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries are unknown.
  • At 2:45 p.m., a caller reported youths gathering near blocking the door of . The youths were spoken to and will stay at Burger King.
  • At 3:15 p.m., a caller reported youths darting in and out of traffic on Main Street. The youths were taking turns on a scooter, without a helmet. Police spoke to them and told them to fold up the scooter and carry it home.
  • At 3:24 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on the off-ramp of Route 128. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:50 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on General Way. The accident was minor and no injuries were reported.
  • At 6:22 p.m., A Walkers Brook Drive business manager reported embezzlement by his employee. 
  • At 7:48 p.m., an Applegate Lane resident reported receiving multiple, harassing calls from an alarm company.
  • At 8:55 p.m., a Main Street resident reported that his apartment was broken into and his vehicle was vandalized.
