Lawrence Man Arrested in Connection to Lowell Five Robbery: WILMINGTON--Massachusetts State Police arrested a Lawrence man on Friday morning in connection with the robbery of Wilmington's Lowell Five Bank one week ago.

According to Wilmington Police Lt. Brian Pupa, Lawrence resident Daniel Simard, 26, on charges of unarmed robbery after he was arrested in Billerica.

Simard allegedly walked into Lowell Five Bank on Friday, October 19, and slipped the teller a note demanding money.

According to Tewksbury Police, an officer on routine patrol at around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, spotted a black Pontiac Grand Prix traveling east on Andover Street and tried to pull it over for a defective light violation. However, the driver pulled away and continued along Andover Street.
