North Reading Resident Arrested For Assault With a Dangerous Weapon, Disturbing the Peace

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Wednesday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 2:08 a.m. Wednesday, Wayne Alarm reported a burglar alarm for Convenience Plus. Police reported to the scene and saw that a brick was thrown through the window of the business. Police spoke to two individuals that were in the area. A juvenile was arrested for breaking and entering at night, larceny from a building and vandalizing property.

At 2:33 p.m. Thursday, Paul Bradley, 28, of 62 Water St. Danvers, was arrested on charges of attempted breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, possession of burglarious tools, trespassing, conspiracy to commit a crime (breaking and entering) and wanton destruction of property. Jessica Damico, 30, of 95 High St., Stoneham was also arrested on charges of attempted breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, possession of burglarious tools, trespassing, conspiracy to commit a crime (breaking and entering), wanton destruction of property and two counts of possession of a class B substance (Suboxone and Clonazepam). Both were arrested on Marblehead Street.

At 8:13 p.m. Thursday, Zachary T. Greenberg, 23, of 11 Oakdale Road was arrested on a warrant.

At 4:25 p.m., a caller reported an attempted shoplifting at Play It Again Sports. As a result of the call, Kendra Marie Makarewicz, 23, of 165 Parker Rd., Wakefield was arrested on charges of possession of a class B substance.

At 8:23 p.m. Sunday, Cody R. Hilton, 18, of 4 Hillside Rd. was arrested on Hillside Road on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and disturbing the peace.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

• At 7:27 a.m., vandalism was reported at Ipswich River Park.
• At 12:20 p.m., a Central Street resident reported that someone spray painted his truck overnight.
• At 5:05 p.m., a caller from North Reading Subaru reported that some rims and tires were stolen off a used Honda. He also reported that last week, a battery was stolen from a vehicle.
• At 6:16 p.m., a caller reported that his car was damaged while parked at Hillview.
• At 10:57 p.m., a caller reported that spray paint was painted over the lights illuminating the flag at Ipswich River Park.

Thursday, Sept. 27

• At 5:47 a.m., a caller reported wine bottles and glass in the middle of Southwich Road. Police removed the glass from the road.
• At 12:26 p.m., an officer was flagged down on Old Andover Road and told about a syringe in the road. The officer disposed of the syringe.
• At 6:18 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 7 p.m., an employee from Candlewood Lanes reported that the money from the soda machine was missing.
• At 7:35 p.m., an emergency caller reported that a male party was walking around on Park Street and looked like he may have been jumped. Both police and the fire department reported to the scene. The male's father picked him up and drove him to the police station for follow up with detectives.

Friday, Sept. 28

• At 7:15 p.m., a caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street. 
• At 7:27 p.m., a caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Park Street.
• At 8:44 p.m., a caller reported an intoxicated male driver heading south on Route 28. Police notified Tewksbury police.
• At 9:55 p.m., an officer spoke with four youths on Kingston Street regarding suspicious activity. Police recovered a toy gun and brought it to the station. 
• At 11:40 p.m., a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Park Street. No injuries were reported. 

Saturday, Sept. 29

• At 8:54 a.m., a caller reported a hypodermic needle on Greene Street. Police disposed of the needle.

Sunday, Sept. 30

• At 12:55 p.m., a caller reported that his mailbox was knocked down.
• At 3:34 p.m., a caller reported a minor car accident on Main Street.
