Fire Destroys Clubhouse At Meadow Brook Golf Club
The building, which was over 75 years old, housed the dining room, function hall, bar, offices and locker rooms.
READING, MA – A three-alarm fire tore through the Meadow Brook Golf Club in Reading overnight. A neighbor reported the fire in the clubhouse on Grove Street around 3:40 a.m., the Department of Fire Services said.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire. There were no injuries to firefighters, the department said.
The clubhouse was completely destroyed. The building, which was over 75 years old, housed the dining room, function hall, bar, offices and locker rooms, the club said.

"Thanks to the quick response of the Reading Police and Fire Department there are no known damages beyond the main clubhouse building," a spokesperson for the club said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
