Overnight Lane Closures Begin Sunday In Reading
Lane closures will be in place each evening from 8 p.m., through 5 a.m.

READING, Ma. - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that overnight lane closures on Route 28 (Main Street) in Reading will begin on Sunday and continue during overnight hours only through Friday, Sept. 27.
These lane closures will be in place each evening from 8 p.m., through 5 a.m., the following morning, and will allow crews to safely and effectively conduct paving operations. A minimum of one lane of travel in each direction will remain open at all times.

Drivers who are traveling through the impacted areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. Signs, traffic control devices and law enforcement details will be deployed to guide drivers through the work zone. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
This work is part of a $5.6 million project to resurface and improve sections of Route 28.
