Peabody Man Summonsed For Leaving the Scene of An Accident

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Wednesday, Dec. 14
- At 7:06 a.m., an unknown caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
- At 7:45 a.m., a North Reading resident reported an accident on Oakdale Road.
- At 10:11 a.m., a Main Street resident reported more than $2,000 worth of jewelry stolen.
- At 2:26 p.m., an emergency caller reported an accident on Main Street.

- At 1:29 a.m., an Elm Street resident reported driving by a car with airbags deployed. Police investigated and found that it was a rental car. They found the renter, a 29-year-old Peabody resident, and he was summonsed for leaving the scene of an accident.
