PHOTOS: NRHS Mock Car Accident [VIDEO]

The North Reading High School Masquers and SADD worked with the Police and Fire Departments to put on a mock car accident Tuesday morning to raise awareness of high school students.

Junior and senior students from watched a mock car accident Tuesday morning put on by the Masquers, SADD and the and departments. The four groups worked together for months in preparation for the mock accident.

The accident was performed to open the eyes of students getting ready for prom and graduation season, when accidents related to drunk driving are most common.

Six students acted as victims of the car crash: Adam Sperry, Gabriella Fabiano, Leanne McNall, Brittany Straughn, Janelle Yull and Walter Nitzche. Jessica Swartz read two poems during the accident and Sara Green, Rory Stimpson and Adelaide Zhang worked on the the filimng and technical aspects of the crash.

Students then filed into the auditorium to watch a booking video and heard from members of the fire and police departments.
