POLICE LOG: Counterfeit Bill Received at Walmart and Storm Related Calls

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Friday through Monday. The information is open to the public.
Friday, Oct. 26
- At 9:34 a.m., a Ridge Road resident reported that a pipe burst in her house.
- At 7:50 p.m., a caller reported that something was thrown at his car.

- At 12:04 a.m., a Lowell Road resident reported a noise complaint. The resident's neighbors were spoken to and agreed to quiet down for the night.
- At 12:28 p.m., an Old Andover Road resident reported mailbox damage.
- At 1:22 p.m., the manager at Hess reported that a car drove off without paying for gas. A message was left for the customer.
- At 7:29 p.m., an employee from the Lobster Claw reported an unwanted guest. The guest was transported to the station, evaluated by the fire department and taken to the hospital.
- At 7:32 p.m., a caller reported that her sons were missing. The boys were back home Sunday morning.
- At 8:27 p.m., a caller reported that she cashed a check at Walmart and received a counterfeit $20 bill. Detectives are investigating.
- At 10:28 p.m., a caller reported that a deer struck his car. No one was injured.
- At 11:31 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported that campaign signs were stolen from his yard and his neighbor's yard.
Sunday, Oct. 28
- At 1:27 a.m., an emergency caller reported that several mailboxes on Park Street were smashed.
- At 5:12 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Road. The injuries were unknown.
- At 6:46 a.m., a caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle.
- At 3:33 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 10:22 p.m., a Duane Road resident reported that his lizard and x-box were stolen.
Monday, Oct. 29

- At 2:03 a.m., Wilmington Police reported a tree partially blocking Lowell Road.
- At 9:09 a.m., a caller reported that she had a dispute with two women she found sleeping in her bed at her mother's residence. The caller said she was assaulted. The caller had to go to work and did not have time to meet with an officer, but was advised of her legal options.
- At 9:50 a.m., an officer reported moving branches from Haverhill Street.
- At 10:32 a.m., a caller reported a tree down on Elm Street.
- At 11:34 a.m., an officer reported a tree down on Rodgers Circle.
- At 12:50 p.m., a caller reported wires hitting a tree on Elm Street causing the tree to catch on fire. RMLD and the fire department responded.
- At 1:39 p.m., an officer reported a branch in the roadway on Washington Street.
- At 2:21 p.m., a caller reported a branch down on Hill Street.
- At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported a tree down on North Street.
- At 3:25 p.m., a caller reported a pole fire on Wright Street.
- Calls were also taken throughout the day for trees down on Magnolia Road, Route 125, Audubon Road, April Lane, Birch Road, Wilson Avenue, Mount Vernon Street, Haverhill Street, Lowell Road, Chestnut Street, Jenkins Road, Swan Pond Road, Shasta Road, Snowcrest Run, Strawberry Lane and Equestrian Drive.
- At 4:36 p.m., a caller reported a pole with a transformer on it down on Parkview Terrace.
- At 5:28 p.m., a caller reported power lines down on Caroline Road and Elm Street.
- At 5:53 p.m., a caller reported that a tree fell on her roof.
- At 6:28 p.m., a Southwick Road resident reported that a tree was down on her road and hit a motor vehicle and a house.
- At 6:39 p.m., a Main Street resident reported that there was a fire outside. The residents were able to put the fire out.
- At 7:06 p.m., a caller reported wires sparking on Allston Road.
- At 7:38 p.m., a caller reported that a pole snapped on Tower Hill Road.
- At 8:02 p.m., a caller reported that a deer was struck by a car on Washington Street.
- At 8:37 p.m., a caller reported sparking wires on Elma Road.
- At 9:24 p.m., a caller reported wires down on Williams Road.
- At 11:42 p.m., a caller reported wires on fire on Erwin Road. The fire department responded.
