Police Respond to Christmas Eve Domestic Incident

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrest

Police arrested Michael Cataldo-Lever, 27, of 56 Bradford Street, Everett, on Monday, Dec. 23. He was charged for having an outstanding warrant.

Monday, Dec. 23

  • At 4:30 a.m. an officer came across a suspicious person, a man walking on Prescott Street.
  • At 11:42 a.m. a resident received a possible phone scam on Pearl Street.
  • At 1:13 p.m. a woman passed out near the registers at Stop & Shop.
  • At 2:11 p.m. a resident found their home ransacked on Carter Ave.
  • At 4:59 p.m. a sick or injured rabbit was located on the sidewalk on Main Street.
  • At 8:45 p.m. three people were issued marijuana by-law citations.

  • At 12:42 a.m. a 35-year-old woman on Woburn Street was suffering abdominal pain and an ambulance was called.
  • At 9:10 a.m. a possible pothole on Birch Meadow Drive caused a flat tire.
  • At 11:01 a.m. a resident on Haven Street was almost struck by motor vehicles while in the crosswalk.
  • At 2:19 p.m. a possible water break occurred in a Haverhill Street home.
  • At 4:40 p.m. police received an elevator entrapment call from Oakland Road, but it was reported as accidental.
  • At 5:09 p.m. a possible domestic incident was reported in progress on Pearl Street.
  • At 9:38 p.m. a woman was having a disagreement with her Main Street neighbor.
