Possible Break-In Reported on Mount Vernon Street, Reading

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Monday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Arrests
At 3:06 p.m. Monday, as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, Tito Lima, 23, of 346 Lincoln St., Waltham was arrested on a warrant and charges of unlicensed operation, revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and a seat belt violation.

Monday, Sept. 17
- At 12:04 p.m., a Grand Street resident reported a suspicious male outside of his home. The resident reported that his 14-year-old son was home alone and that a male, who said he was with an insurance company, wanted to inspect the outside of the house. Police checked the area, but the male had already left.
- At 9:14 p.m., a resident walked into the police station to report that his iPhone was taken from his back pack while he was at a hockey practice at the Burbank Arena.

- At 7:34 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries were unknown.
- At 9:30 a.m., a male was given a bylaw citation for possession of marijuana on Main Street.
- At 10:02 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 12:54 p.m., a caller reported the unauthorized use of her bank account.
- At 9:08 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
Wednesday, Sept. 19
- At 8:27 a.m., a caller reported that a car hit his on Main Street and left the area.
- At 2:02 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on West Street. The injuries were unknown.
- At 4:41 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. The injuries were unknown.
- At 5:51 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
Thursday, Sept. 20
- At 9:12 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Zachary Lane. The injuries were unknown.
- At 10:58 a.m., a caller reported that his car was hit while parked on Lakeview Avenue.
- At 8:17 p.m., a Mount Vernon Street resident reported that her house was broken into. She returned home to find the front door smashed in, but nothing appeared to be missing
