Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week: Concert Practice: Reading Community Singers will practice this week as they begin preparing for their upcoming spring concert. <a href="https://reading.patch.com/groups/events/p/reading-community-singers-spring-concert-rehearsals_f886214a">Rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday</a> from 7:30-9:30 p.m. inside the Old South Unite Methodist Church. The group, which is made up of over 75 members of all ages, is a non-audition singing group that welcomes all residents who can "match pitch and carry a tune" to participate in rehearsals and performances. The Reading Community Singers hold their spring concert on May 17 at 7:30 p.m. They will also be participating in Reading's Martin Luther King Day celebration on Monday, Jan. 20, at 9:30 a.m. inside Reading Memorial High School.
