Reading–North Reading Chamber of Commerce Seeks Outstanding Citizen Nominations

Who will you nominate for the Chamber's Outstanding Citizen of the Year?

The following was submitted by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce:

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2011 Outstanding Citizens of the Year Awards. Applications for nominations are available on the Chamber website or from Executive Director Irene Collins.

“We are looking for nominations for citizens who have made significant contributions to the communities of Reading and North Reading,” said Committee Chair Priscilla Gottwald. “It is an opportune time of the year to see the good in people, so consider their community or economic contributions that have made a difference in our towns.”

An outstanding citizen from each town will be selected by a committee of Chamber members and be recognized at an awards dinner on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the in North Reading.             

“If you admire someone who has had a positive impact on the local economy and the community in 2011, please take the time to nominate that person,” said Collins. Nominations should be mailed by January 17, 2012, to Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 771, Reading, MA 01867 or sent via email to rnrchambercomm@aol.com.

Founded in 1989, the Reading Chamber of Commerce merged with the North Reading Business Association to form the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce in January 2000.
