Reading Police Host Ongoing Stuff-A-Cruiser Drive

Police are collecting stuffed animals to provide comfort to children during police encounters.

READING, MA — Reading community members have a chance to help area children via an ongoing stuff-a-cruiser stuffed animal drive, Reading Police announced on Monday.

The drive launched on Dec. 1. It will continue through Jan. 6 with drop-off locations at the Reading Police Department and at Reading Memorial High School outside the office of School Resource Officer Brian Lewis.

Police plan to collect new or gently used stuffed animals to place them in all Reading Police cruisers, as noted in Monday’s announcement.
