READING, MA — In April the Town of Reading delivered a total of 16,296 new trash and recycling carts to all residents who currently receive trash and recycling collection by the Town. Everyone is encouraged to begin using their new trash and recycling carts immediately. This is in anticipation of a new trash and recycling collection contract that will go into effect next year in July 2026.
For your old trash and recycling containers, if you aren’t able to repurpose them, there are multiple upcoming opportunities to get rid of them.
