Reading To Resume Downtown Parking Talks

READING, MA — The Reading Select Board will resume discussions about modifications to the downtown parking system. Aspects of the system that may be modified or considered include:

• Leased spaces
• Employee Permit Program
• On-Street Regulations (i.e., Public, Resident Only, etc.)
• Off-Street Regulations (i.e., Brande Court & Upper Haven lots)
• Commuter Parking
• Paid Parking, potentially as part of a Parking Benefit District
• Safety Enhancements

Discussions could start as soon as the Aug. 11 Select Board meeting, the town said.
