Reading To Resume Downtown Parking Talks
The Select Board will discuss changes to the downtown parking system, including leased spaces, commuter parking and other modifications.
READING, MA — The Reading Select Board will resume discussions about modifications to the downtown parking system. Aspects of the system that may be modified or considered include:
- Leased spaces
- Employee Permit Program
- On-Street Regulations (i.e., Public, Resident Only, etc.)
- Off-Street Regulations (i.e., Brande Court & Upper Haven lots)
- Commuter Parking
- Paid Parking, potentially as part of a Parking Benefit District
- Safety Enhancements
Discussions could start as soon as the Aug. 11 Select Board meeting, the town said.
