The following was submitted by the Reading Climate Advisory Committee:

On Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mattera Cabin on North Main Street, the Reading Climate Advisory Committee will hold its Earth Day Celebration. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.

The Reading Trails Committee has volunteered to conduct three short nature walks beginning at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. They will begin and end at the cabin and explore the environs around the cabin which include several trail heads into Reading town land.

Presenting within the cabin are The Reading Garden Club, the DPW on water conservation and its rebates, the Town Forest Committee, the Conservation Committee, the RMLD on energy efficiency and rebates, Walkable Reading, Girl Scout Troop 73734, as well as the climate committee.

In addition to the above attractions, come and see the Mattera Cabin itself. Thanks to the generosity of the Burbank family and the expert work by the students of the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School in Wakefield, the cabin is ready for use. It is a wonderful addition to our town.
