Reading Stop & Shop To Hold Career Fair
The Reading store is one of over 100 Stop & Shop locations across Massachusetts participating in a major hiring event this weekend.

READING, MA – Reading’s Stop & Shop location will join over 100 stores in Massachusetts in hosting a one-day career fair on Saturday.
The career fair will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as Stop & Shop looks to fill 750 open permanent, part time open e-commerce and store roles. Openings include union positions in Stop & Shop’s bakery, deli, grocery, seafood and produce departments. The chain is also hiring for union overnight crew, cashier, porter, bagger, home shopper and driver positions.
Stop & Shop announced its career fair schedule on Monday, offering starting rates of $15 an hour. Pay for new hires will increase to $15.30 per hour after 30 days, according to a press release.

Part-time positions offer up to 28 hours of work per week with competitive pay, paid training, flexible schedules, a company discount, paid time off and career advancement opportunities, as noted in the same career fair announcement.
Applicants for night crew, deli, meat, and seafood associate positions must be at least 18-years old, while home delivery drivers must be at least 21. Applicants for other positions are required to be at least 16-years old.

“Many members of Stop & Shop’s leadership team started as part-time associates,” Stop & Shop Human Resources Business Partner Cara Sangermano said this week. “The roles we offer at Stop & Shop are more than jobs, they are growth opportunities.”
The Reading Stop and Shop store is located at 25 Walkers Brook Drive in Reading.
Those who cannot visit the career fair in person this weekend can also apply online.
