Reported Shoplifting at Christopher's Market and Hawk Trapped on Porch in North Reading

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.
Monday, Oct. 22
- At 1:23 a.m., a caller reported that a vehicle struck a telephone poll on Washington Street and drove away.
- At 12:42 p.m., a Sunset Avenue resident reported a hawk on her porch. She was able to remove a screen to free the hawk.
- At 3:18 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

- At 10;10 a.m., O'Brien's Auto Service reported a past breaking and entering.
- At 12:19 p.m., a Westchester Drive resident reported that a suspicious female knocked on her door. The female was gone when police arrived.
- At 4:56 p.m., an employee from Christopher's Market reported a past shoplifting around 4 p.m. Two beer cans were taken.
