RMLD reminds its residential customers that it offers a no-cost home energy assessment to households interested in implementing energy efficiency and conservation measures. The Home Energy Assessment program is administered through Energy New England.

During a home energy assessment, a home advisor will do a walk-through of the property and the inside of the home, RMLD said.

The advisor then will input information into its energy-efficiency software and will use a thermo-imaging camera to identify air leaks.

RMLD said the energy advisor will assess and discuss potential energy savings linked to: insulation, appliances, heating/cooling, water heating, efficient lighting, window and door weather-stripping, and window and door replacement.

After participating in an energy assessment, customers will receive a Home Energy Assessment Report, which analyzes their home's energy usage and identifies home improvement projects that can lower energy costs.

Customers also will receive details about RMLD's rebates and incentives.
