RMLD Power Outages Could Last Longer

The second nor'easter in a week left roughly 1,200 Reading Municipal Light Department customers without power as of Thursday evening. At the height of the outages, more than 2,200 customers were affected, the department said. Crews will be working into Friday evening to restore power.

The RMLD serves more than 29,000 across Reading, North Reading, Lynnfield, Wilmington.

Massachusetts has more than 360,000 without power. Surrounding towns, particularly in Merrimack Valley and Essex County, had severe outages that may last until Sunday, National Grid said.
