Rotary Thanks Local Students and Restaurants For Phone-A-Thon Aide
High school students and restaurants helped the Rotary Club raise money for service projects.

students pitched in to help the of North Reading raise funds for its local service projects. North Reading restaurants donated pizzas to feed the troops on several evenings in November, while donated its facility and use of their phones.

“This was a team effort among the Rotarians, high school students working on a community service project and local restaurants” said Rotary President Peter Majane who headed up the project.
North Reading Rotary Club meets weekly at the at 12:15 p.m. Its main objective is service in the community and workplace. The Rotary Club raises funds for children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, violence and the eradication of polio worldwide. Local service projects include raising funds for three annual scholarships to North Reading graduating seniors, sponsoring local food drives for the Food Pantry, sponsoring the annual All Night Party, holding an annual Christmas luncheon and caroling event at Peabody Court and other community service projects.
