A pair of Reading groups are teaming up to help make the holiday season a little brighter for families in need, and they could use your help. The Reading Coalition Against Substance Abuse joined forces with the Student Leaders of Youth Crew for a canned good drive. Items collected between now and Thursday, Dec. 12, will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank. Items can be donated by leaving them in a collection box inside the Reading Police Department lobby.

Residents can donate through Thursday at the Reading Police Department.
