Three Generators Stolen from Comcast in North Reading

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Monday, April 16

  • At 7:52 a.m., a Comcast employee reported that three of their truck generators were stolen overnight. Police are investigating.
  • At 9:27 a.m., a Bow Street resident reported vandalism to a Honda parked on his property.
  • At 12:53 p.m., a caller reported a house fire on Linwood Avenue. The fire was put out by the , a dog was rescued from the home and no one was injured.
  • At 9:15 p.m., a Travelled Way resident reported fireworks going off. The person setting them off was gone when police arrived.
  • At 10:05 p.m., a caller reported a fire at . The and no one was injured.
  • At 11:40 p.m., a Bridle Way resident reported a loud bang and yelling near the cul-de-sac. Police reported to the scene and found that a person had a flat tire and was waiting for AAA to arrive.

  • At 7:23 a.m., a North Hill Drive resident reported that their mailbox was destroyed.
  • At 11:13 p.m., a Sachem Street resident reported a possible house party on her street. The caller reported loud noise and kids running in the woods behind her house. Police reported to the scene, called the parents of the kids and asked them to pick up the kids.
