Town Of Reading Releases Christmas Tree Collection Schedule

This year, there are two options to dispose of your Christmas tree for Reading residents.

READING, MA — This year, there are two options to dispose of your Christmas tree for Reading residents:

1) Residents with a 2025 compost sticker can take their trees to the Compost Center on Strout Ave. between 8:00am-2:30pm on Saturday, January 18. 2) Republic Services will collect Christmas trees curbside the week of 1/13-17. All decorations, including tinsel, must be removed from the trees. Trees in plastic bags or trees not completely clear of decor will not be collected or accepted at the compost center. Please have your tree out at the curb by 6:30am on your regular trash pickup day.
