Vote for Your Favorite Holiday Window Display
Have you voted for your favorite window display yet?
The following was submitted by the RNR Chamber of Commerce:
With the deadline fast approaching the Chamber urges you to visit our local retailers and vote for your favorite to benefit local charities. The contest is running now through Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011.
Businesses have decorated their windows and are collecting dollars to compete against each other for bragging rights and a matching donation to their favorite charity from who generously agreed to match the winning businesses’ collection up to a maximum of $500. The contest is being held in both Reading and North Reading, but businesses are competing against each other in their own town. Reading Co-operative Bank is matching donations to two charities, one in each community!

Here is how the contest works. You are the judge and you could earn your favorite charity $1,000. The businesses are asking you to visit them and cast your vote for your favorite display for $1. The business who collects the most votes wins for their charity! There will be a winner in Reading and North Reading.
North Reading participants include; , , , , and . Participating businesses in Reading are; Aine’s Boutique, Everything but the Dog, Goodhearts Children’s Shop and Center Staged Interiors, Premier Realty Group, Inc., Mary Rose’s Quilt and Treasures, Metropolitan Bath, RCTV, Sammy Jo’s Italian Bakery & Café, The Chocolate Truffle and The Hitching Post Gift Shop.

Visit the Chamber’s web site for a list of all participating businesses and their selected charities. On the web site you can also view a festive video of the storefronts created by Advanced Photo. Add to the enjoyment of buying locally and plan a day or night with your family viewing the displays and voting for your favorite. Hopefully your vote will make a difference and your favorite charity will be the winner!
