Water Main Break Cuts Water for Part of Town

Part of town is affected by a water main break that happened early Monday. According to the Director of Public Works Richard Carnevale, residents may be without water until 4 p.m.

"A water main at Park and Gould Streets broke early this morning," Carnevale said. "The following streets are affected and may be without water until 4 PM: Park Street (Winter Street to Main Street), Damon Street and Gould Street."

The Department of Public Works has crews working on the break and plan to repair it as soon as possible. They have to shut water main gates in the area to isolate the water main break in order to restore service to residents, said Carnevale.
