Remember when only students from particular colleges could be on Facebook? Now everybody and their grandmother are on Facebook, including local Roslindale businesses. 

Some post videos, daily updates on their menu and specials, whether they're open during a snowstorm, and photos. Here are just five Roslindale businesses on Facebook.

El Chavo Mexican Products is on Facebook, posting in both Spanish and English (and you can also hit the "translate" button on Facebook. The store posts about events and videos (like from the recent Roslindale Village Egg Hunt).

Delfino Restaurant is one of Roslindale Village's favorite places to dine with a loved one of a small group. Menu updates, pictures of delicious food and more are posted on its Facebook page.

Birch Street Bistro provides regular updates on what live music is being offered that night, as well as what special food and drink are available.

The Pleasant Cafe is a very well-liked place, with a 'like' total nearing 3,000. They update daily with photos, menu specials, community events, and sports-related posts about the Bruins, Pats, Celtics and Red Sox.

Boston Cheese Cellar posts photos and updates on all the delicious cheeses from around the world they are selling.
