5 Things: Boston Public Schools Unveils Three Student Assignment Proposals

The three proposals are different than the five proposals from last year to reform the student assignment process in Boston.

  1. Trash and recycling day is delayed one day due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
  2. Boston Public Schools proposed three student assignment plans last night: A ten-zone option; and two “home-based” options that connect a child’s home address with schools nearby.

  4. A very important meeting that will impact Roslindale Village is on Wed., Jan. 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. about the Roslindale Substation project. The meeting will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 4192 Washington St., Roslindale.
  5. On Friday night Parkway Girls Softball League is holding its 7th Annual Comedy Night. This year, it will be Boston's infamous Steve Sweeney as the headline act.
