  2. On Tuesday, YMAA Boston will be hosting Boston Police Officer Elvis Garcia for a kids safety talk from 5-6 p.m. Officer Garcia will give tips on how to stay safe on a daily basis. This is a valuable opportunity for parents and kids to learn about practical safety for the city. Kids classes will be consolidated into one class. Please arrive anytime after 4:30 p.m. This event is free open to everyone.   3. Tonight the External Advisory Committee on Student Assignment is scheduled to vote on the proposed models tonight to recommend one. 6 p.m. Suffolk University, 73 Tremont St., 9th Floor, Boston. This meeting is open to the public.
  4. On Tuesday there will be an event at the Arnold Arboretum about Biodiversity 2013: Crisis and Opportunity at the Hunnewell Building. Free, but registration requested. 7-8:15 p.m.
