5 Things: Connolly for Mayor Campaign Kickoff; Community Day at Roslindale Fire Station

Nominate a Roslindale business for the 2013 Greenovate Boston Business Awards.

  1. Boston City Councilor John Connolly kicks off his campaign for Mayor of Boston tonight at the Omni Parker House located at 60 School St. in downtown Boston. 6:30-10 p.m.
  2. Nominate a Roslindale business for the 2013 Greenovate Boston Business Awards.
  3. Nominate a Roslindale resident for the 2013 Greenovate Boston Residential Awards.
  4. On Saturday, the First Community Day at the Roslindale Fire Station at 945 Canterbury St., will take place for families affected by autism. This project is a collaborative effort of the Arc of South of Norfolk ALEC Program, Boston Police, Fire, and EMS departments, and is sponsored by the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Fire House will be open to residents living in the vicinity who are diagnosed with autism and other related developmental disabilities and their families. First responders from Boston Fire, Police, and EMS will be onhand to meet with families. Emergency equipment and vehicles will be there to show families the equipment that may be used in the event of an emergency situation involving their loved ones diagnosed with autism and other related developmental disabilities. 10 a.m. - noon.
  5. Register now for Parkway Little League here, the season begins April 13. Players will be placed on teams depending upon roster space and availability.
