5 Things: Drop-In Feedback Session Tonight for Roslindale Substation Development

- Tonight Roslindale Village Main Street is hosting a small, less formal gathering with the volunteer Substation Redevelopment Project committee members to discuss the proposal, answer your questions and gather your ideas. The owners of Shanti Indian Restaurant, slated to open at 4197 Washington St., will graciously provide samples of their food during the drop-in gathering. 2A Corinth Street. 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will also be a drop-in session on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- On Monday night, members of the Boston School Committee elected Michael O’Neill as their next chairperson, succeeding immediate-past chairperson Rev. Gregory Groover, Sr., who served in that capacity for the past four years.
- Kindergartern registration for Boston Public Schools has started. More info and where to register here.
- Homework help is available at the Roslindale Public Library from a Boston Public School teacher for free. 4-6 p.m. Teachers offer homework help for students in all grades.
- Christmas trees are being picked up Jan. 7-18, more info here.
