5 Things: Roslindale Open Mic is Tonight

- Today there will be Films for Preschoolers at the Roslindale Library for free from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Tonight its Roslindale Open Mic starting at 7 p.m. at the Roslindale Congregational Church. 25 Cummins Highway.
- Boston's Toys for Tickets program runs through Tuesday. Any driver issued a non-public safety parking ticket on Boston's streets between Thursday, November 29 and Saturday, December 1, may resolve their ticket by providing a non-violent, unwrapped toy of equal or greater value than the ticket fine. Drivers who would like to participate must bring the parking ticket as well as a receipt for the toy. See here for more info and drop-off locations.
- Round 1 of Boston Public Schools registration is for new-to-BPS families applying for Kindergarten, Grade 6, and Grade 9, runs Jan. 3 - Feb. 1, following this alphabetical schedule of registration dates.
- Enter your house in Patch's Deck the House contest to win $100,000 for the Boston Public Schools and $500 for your electricity bill.
