5 Things: Rozzie Reads Poetry Open Mic Tonight; Early Explorers at Boston Nature Center

1. Rozzie Reads Poetry Open Mic is tonight., 7-9 p.m. Select Cafe. 2 Belgrade Ave. Featured poets will be Tom Daley and Elizabeth Quinlan. Daley’s poetry has been published (or forthcoming) in Denver Quarterly, Massachusetts Review, Fence, Harvard Review, In Posse Review, Barrow Street, conte, Poetry Ireland Review, Rhino, and Diagram. Quinlan is the author of Promise Supermarket, a book of memoir poems: the first of a three part series.She is also a visual artist specializing in the Book and the Fabric Arts. She is a graduate of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, and UMass. 
2. Today is Toddler Story Time at the Roslindale Library from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Free. 4246 Washington St.
3. Today there is an Early Explorers workshop for children 3-6 with an adult at the Mass Audubon's Boston Nature Center. 10:30 a.m. - noon. Young naturalists will move, learn and create by investigating the science and beauty of winter through explorations, games, and art. Every program will include time outside to dig through the snow, observe wintering birds, or find the many animal tracks dotting the sanctuary. Child care and preschool groups are strongly encouraged to attend and special rates may apply. 4. Due to Presidents Day holiday, trash/recycling is delayed one day.
