1. Roslindale Village Main Street is looking for a new executive director. Stephanie Cave is leaving on Feb. 15. 
2. On Thursday Roslindale Village Main Street is hosting a small, less formal gathering with the volunteer Substation Redevelopment Project committee members to discuss the proposal, answer your questions and gather your ideas. The owners of Shanti Indian Restaurant, slated to open at 4197 Washington St., will graciously provide samples of their food during the drop-in gathering. 2A Corinth Street. 5:30-7:30 p.m. 
3. Tonight is Zumba, the Latin-inspired dance fitness craze continues is at the Roslindale Community Center. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each class is $10; Groups of 2 and more, $8 dollars per person. Contact Ama Edzie for class information: aedzie@gmail.com.
4. Homework help is available at the Roslindale Public Library from a Boston Public School teacher for free. 4-6 p.m. Teachers offer homework help for students in all grades.
5. Christmas trees are being picked up Jan. 7-18, more info here.
