The Taste of Roslindale is on Thursday night - read the Roslindale Patch preview here! This year’s event will showcase the best of the Harvest season, with local restaurants offering fresh, seasonal ingredients from many of the local farms who participate in the Roslindale Village Farmers’ Market! Sample fresh and fabulous fall menu items, chat with the chefs from the area’s best eateries, and meet some of your local farmers outside of the busy market setting.  Mingle with neighbors and enjoy live music, demonstrations, raffles and prizes. Funds support Roslindale Village Main Street.   2. Today - October 17 - is the last day to register to vote to be eligible for voting in the November presidential election. Remember - you can't complain if you don't vote. Well, you can still complain...
  3. Thursday morning is Toddler Story Time at the Roslindale Branch Library for children five and younger. 10:30 a.m. Free. 4246 Washington St., Roslindale.
  4. Tonight Boston’s Poet Laureate Sam Cornish, readers and musicians will present the tale of two young lovers and songs from the Spanish Civil War at the Copley BPL from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  5. Also tonight, Congolese rumba, Cuban swing and James Brown-like funk are Staff Benda Bilili’s specialty at the ICA at 7:30 p.m.
