- On Wednesday, there will be a book release party for Roslindale resident Armand Inezian's "VampCon" at the Roslindale Library. Event starts at 6:30 p.m., reading at 7 p.m. Free. 4246 Washington St.
- Also on Wednesday, there will be a free flu clinic at the Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center for people age 3 and older. 2-4 p.m. 4199 Washington St.
- Today the New England Aquarium is hosting a free lecture on cars and climate change from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Also today - what do you do if you fall in love with your mother-in-law? The Copley Boston Public Library is hosting an author talk with Howard Jacobson tonight at 6 p.m.
- The 25th Annual Roslindale-West Roxbury Kiwanis Club Benefit Auction and Dinner takes place on Thursday at the Irish Social Club on Park Street in West Roxbury. Net proceeds from this event help us to support local organizations such as children's programs at the West Roxbury-Roslindale YMCA, scholarships for graduating seniors through the Joseph P. Sullivan Scholarship Fund (via The Cooperative Bank), the Roslindale Food Pantry, as well as the American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Association. $15. 6 p.m.
