Beethoven/Ohrenberger Schools Raising $ for One Fund Boston

Students will be able to donate any amount and not have to wear a school uniform, with all funds raised going to the One Fund Boston to help those most affected by the bombings.

Once back from school vacation, the Beethoven and Ohrenberger schools are holding a one-day uniform-free day to raise funds for the One Fund Boston.

On Wednesday, April 22, students can donate any amount and in exchange he or she will not need to wear a school uniform that day. 

All donations will go the One Fund Boston, established by the state and city to help those most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

"All donations will be sent to The One Fund established to help the victims of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon on Monday," wrote Naomi Krakow, principal of the schools.

A flyer will go out on Monday to help spread the word through parent mailing lists.

"When we as a community come together to support causes like this, our own school communities become stronger and the students learn things that are not taught in books, wrote Krakow.
