Boston Police Officer from Roslindale Charged with Rape, Indecent Assault and Battery

The 18-year veteran of the Boston Police Department was previously suspended for domestic violence incident.

 

A Boston Police officer from Roslindale was arraigned on charges of rape, indecent assault and battery on Monday.

Henderson Parker, 45, of Roslindale, was arrested Sunday night, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

The victim is an adult female and the location of the incident was at a Roslindale residence. Authorities are not releasing further specific information in order to protect the victim's privacy, said Jake Wark, spokesperson for the DA's office.

Prosecutors asked for $2,500 cash bail, but Judge Ernest Sarason set $1,000 cash bail.

Parker is expected to return to court on Feb. 22, according to the DA's office.

According to Boston.com, Parker was previously suspended "for 30 days in 2002 following 'a physical confrontation of a domestic nature that resulted in injuries,' according to a police record released to the Globe in 2008."
